What is a drop?

A drop is a secure bundle of a message and optional file which can be accessed with a PIN before it expires or hits the download limit.

How secure is it?

We generate randomized PINs, store hashed tokens, and automatically remove files when expired or limits are reached.

What happens when the limit is reached?

The drop is deleted and the file removed from storage. Recipients will see that the limit has been reached.

What are the plan limits?

Do you store my personal data?

For free users, we only store temporary drop metadata. For registered users, we store your name, email, and subscription status. See our Privacy Policy for details.

What file types are supported?

We support documents (PDF, TXT), images (PNG, JPEG, GIF), archives (ZIP), and more. Check the supported types during upload.

How long are messages stored?

Messages are stored only as long as the drop is active. Once expired or deleted, all content is permanently removed from our servers.

Is the content I share encrypted?

Yes. Files and messages are encrypted while stored, and data is protected while in transit. Because every drop also has an expiry and a download limit, your content is both unreadable to outsiders and automatically removed once it is no longer needed.

Can I share a file with more than one person?

Yes. You can set a download limit that matches the number of recipients. For larger audiences, a single PIN can be shared so anyone with it can unlock the drop before it expires.

What is a one-time download?

A one-time download lets the drop be opened exactly once. As soon as the recipient downloads the content, the drop is deleted. This is ideal for securely delivering credentials or documents to a single person.

Do I need an account to share?

No. You can create a guest drop without an account, using shorter expiry times and download limits. Creating a free or premium account gives you longer expiry, higher limits, and access to features like secure messaging.

What is the difference between sharing a file and a message?

A file drop lets you upload a document, image, or archive for the recipient to preview or download. A message drop shares text directly. Both use the same PIN-based, expiring system.

Why does my drop expire at all?

Expiry is a privacy feature. It prevents sensitive content from lingering on servers indefinitely, which is exactly the problem with permanent file-sharing links. If you need a longer window, you can choose an expiry that fits your needs — up to two weeks on annual premium plans.
